CURRENT Teaching series
January established a foundational truth: the Kingdom of God is at hand.
February confronts the next inevitable question:
If the Kingdom is present, who actually reigns—and what authority does He hold?
Scripture does not present Jesus merely as a moral teacher or spiritual guide. It presents Him as King, possessing all authority in heaven and on earth (Matthew 28:18). The Kingdom exists because the King reigns—and His authority is neither symbolic nor optional.
This month focuses on recovering a biblical understanding of authority:
Christ’s absolute authority
Delegated authority under His reign
The difference between authority and control
Why submission to Christ produces freedom, not loss
Many struggle with the idea of authority because they have experienced its abuse. Scripture, however, reveals authority as God’s means of order, protection, alignment, and life! When authority is rightly understood and rightly exercised, the Kingdom flourishes.
To acknowledge Jesus as King without submitting to His authority is to retain form without power. But when Christ’s authority is embraced, the Kingdom becomes stable, ordered, and effective!
This month invites us to move beyond cultural or personal definitions of authority and to rediscover the beauty and strength of living under the reign of a good and rightful King.
