Welcome Home

Welcome to an experience with God that promises to meet every need, answer every question, and fix everything that is broken in our lives. That is the SOZO Life. This is what we as a church want to encourage you into, and intimate walk with God! We do not do that for you, but we are here to encourage you in every stage of that walk with God. SOZO is a greek word that captures the gospel in a single word. It means; salvation, healing, and redemption. In the big picture, it means “wholeness” in the sense of you being made complete in every aspect of your being so you too can start doing. This is also how we define discipleship so yes, it is our goal to make disciples of all.

We believe that SOZO is walked out by being open to experiencing God, embracing Him in every area of you life, and linking together with others to walk and to work in the kingdom of God. If you come worship with us, you will hear us talk about Open, Embrace, Link as the process all of us go through in coming closer to God, and coming closer to one another. Why does “closeness” matter? We believe our God is also our heavenly father, so that means he is there to help us through any challenge, to love us through any sin, and to know us so we can know ourselves.

Come join the journey to SOZO with us!

EMPOWERED

CURRENT Teaching series

After His resurrection, Jesus instructed His followers not to rush ahead in their own strength, but to wait for the promise of the Father. At Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was poured out, empowering ordinary believers to become extraordinary witnesses of Christ.

This month, we will explore what it means to live a Spirit-filled life and how the Spirit empowers believers to advance God's Kingdom in the earth.

Acts 1:8

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

The Holy Spirit was not given merely for personal encouragement or spiritual experience. He was given to empower God's people for holy living, bold witness, spiritual gifts, effective ministry, and Kingdom advancement.

Throughout June, we will discover:

  • The promise and purpose of Pentecost

  • The power of the Holy Spirit in the believer's life

  • The gifts and workings of the Spirit

  • How the Spirit empowers witness and ministry

  • Living daily under the guidance and influence of the Holy Spirit

As we continue our journey through the theme "Your Kingdom Come," June reminds us that God never intended us to advance His Kingdom alone. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now lives in every believer and empowers us to fulfill His purposes.

OUR VISION

We know that we are all on a faith journey. Being a Christian is not easy and it is not all done in a day. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, the journey begins. None of us are perfect, but with Christ in our lives we are being perfected every day. That is the nature of the journey.

In walking our faith out, we need some sign-posts that tell us where we are and how we are doing. Our vision captures that in three steps; Open, Embrace, and Link. We share this because we want to welcome you into greater intimacy with God and join in with you on that journey.

So, all of this is summed up in our vision and we hope that you can find a spiritual home here at SOZO Loveland.

“We open our hearts to embrace one another and link together for the kingdom”

Our values

CHURCH VALUES:

spirit led

The Holy Spirit is in the Earth today to lead us into the wisdom of God, and guide every step of our lives

Bible Based

The Bible is the inerrant Word of God and the foundation of what we believe and what we teach.

FAMILY FRIENDLY

The family is the foundation not only of the kingdom but of the ability of Christians to become mature.

preference free

God is not a respecter of persons. He does not favor one group over another. and backgrounds.

INDEPENDENT

Christ is the head of the Church and each church is given a unique role and purpose in His overall plan

team based, body oriented

Each member is a vital part of the ability of the local church to achieve its mission.

GENERATIONAL

Each generation has something to give to the next and receive from the last.

LEADERSHIP VALUES:

AUTHENTIC FAITH (Luke 2:52)

Our walk with God is both our experience and our reality. We use our faith to establish our unique voice and to encourage others in their walk with God.

OPEN HEARTS & MINDS (1 Cor 6:11)

We relate to others like Jesus would, welcoming and accepting them as they are and allowing God to mold them into what He wants.

RELATIONSHIPS FIRST (2 Cor 5:16)

Our goal is to know and to be known as scripture instructs, so that we can grow in relationship with God and with other people.

RESPONSIBLE & ACCOUNTABLE (Eph 4:14-16)

We are active members of the body, accepting our call to build the kingdom and the local church. We consider that work important and we hold ourselves to a high standard in walking that mission out.

GOD-GROUNDED (2 Tim 3:16-17)

We have a sober appreciation for knowledge & scripture, pursuing it regularly and sharing it with one another so that we continue to grow.

KINGDOM-MINDED (1 Thess 1:5-6)

We serve as ambassadors of God, knowing that we are living examples to others of what that kingdom is about and how they can and should grow in it.

EMBRACE VISION & PASSION (Hab 2:1-3)

Always look forward with great expectations, positive words, and an unwillingness to simply go with the flow or live after tradition. God’s passion fills us, and we let it flow out onto others.
