What is in a name?
At this point, you know that we have been talking about changes in 2018. This process began over 2 years ago when God started talking to us about our role in the community and our future as a church. Of course, the vision is related to what we have accomplished since the church was started and what God has built over time. We have an awesome church, full of mature believers, who know the truth by the Word. What is needed is for us to move forward with a fresh approach, that matures who we are as a church, led by the Spirit.
Our leaders feel it is time for a fresh start in 2018, signified by a new name!
Do not be confused by the outward signs of change like the new branding and the many changes to the building, because this has all been fueled by our vision for how to reach more people for Christ. You will begin to hear more and more as we begin 2018, and we are all excited about the new passion it will generate as well as the new people it will attract to the gospel.
2018 will introduce the new name for Living Word Fellowship, SOZO Loveland!
SO WHAT ABOUT SOZO?
SOZO Loveland will not replace the vision for who we are, but it will enhance and mature it. The word "sozo" is very biblical and anyone who asks what it means will invite you to share the gospel with them, without even knowing it. The name will encourage not only each member to share the meaning (and the meaning behind it), but people will see a fresh perspective on that very gospel. When combined with the new logo (the knot) we will engage more people to understand God's love for them and invite them to experience that love with us.
As an integral part of that, we will be linking "open arms, embraced arms, linked arms" (our discipleship model), so we make disciples over time, as Jesus commanded us to do. That is why each end every one of you should find a place in that process to plug in, get busy, and have a soul-winning impact as we grow. We are not leaving people behind, but building on God's plan to bring the body of Christ together. There is a place for you in that process, and we want to help you find it with us.
